Welcome to school
Dear Families,
Greetings, I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and looking forward to the fast approaching school year. My name is Allison Lebron and I will be your child’s teacher this year. In order to get to our classroom you must walk through the main doors by the office and turn right down the first hall, our room in the first classroom on the left.
This year we will learn many exciting things. The days will be made up of many exciting activities including:
Large group times, Small group times, Language Lab (in our library), Music & Movement, Computer Lab, Art, Literacy Centers, Recess, Free Choice time, Physical Education, Rest Time, Writing Workshop
Some of my personal beliefs on education that will be evident in our classroom are:

Some of my personal beliefs on education that will be evident in our classroom are:
- Students learn through play and making choices on their own.
- Each child is unique and learns in his/her own individual way.
- It is important to have open communication between parents and teachers so that we can help the student in all aspects.
- The learning environment must be made up of trust and respect so students feel comfortable to take risks.
- And of course, have fun!
Shopping List
Dear Families,
Welcome to Luce Road Early Childhood Learning Center! We are looking forward to a year of fun and learning.
Many of you have asked us what supplies your child needs to bring to school. All of the items your child needs to participate in our school programs will be available to him/her in the classroom, so there is nothing your child has to have to come to school. We do recommend your child have tennis shoes, a backpack, and a water bottle.
Below you will find a list of “extras” your classroom teacher will use throughout the school year. These are not necessary for you to purchase, but if you wish to contribute to the classroom supplies, these additions will be appreciated by all.
If you are able and would like to contribute to classroom supplies, please bring your contributions with you when you visit for Orientation. This will make the first day of school a little less hectic.
We look forward to a wonderful year with you and your child.

My Ready-for-School Shopping List!
_____One large box of Kleenex
_____Eight (or more!) glue sticks (not glue pens)
_____Two boxes of dry erase markers
_____One container of Clorox wipes
_____One box of plastic zip lock bags
_____On the first day of school, we are asking each child to bring a name labeled water bottle. It will be your child’s responsibility to bring it home from school and return it each day filled with WATER. (No juice, Kool-Aid, etc.) This is an attempt to lessen time spent in line at the water fountain and reduce the spread of germs.
_____Backpack (large enough to hold a big library book) on the first day of school. Please write your child’s name inside of their backpack.
Sincerely,
Cassie Thelen, Principal Allison Lebron, Teacher
