Other important information:
Attendance-Please have your child here on time. Children can be dropped off as early as 7:30. Our school day begins at 7:53. If you must have your child out of school, please call the office at 463-1012.
Breakfast- Breakfast is served each morning in our classroom to all students. Research shows that a good breakfast is necessary to keep children functioning at their best.
Departures-School ends at 3:00. If you are picking up your child please wait outside or use our convenient drive through pick-up service. There will be a staff member outside so that you can sign out your child in order to be released to you; we do this for the safety of the children. If there is a change in your child’s transportation plans I must have a note from you stating the change, you can pin it on your child to make sure I get it.
Newsletters- A newsletter will be sent home every other week to inform you on what we focused on those weeks in school. This is another way I can communicate to you as to what is going on at school and other activities. Make sure I have your email so that you can receive these on Fridays.
Gym shoes- It will be helpful for your child to have a pair of shoes that stay at school so that appropriate shoes are always available for music & movement and P.E. This will be very important when the children wear sandals to school in the summer and boots in the winter. Again, it is a safety issue.
Sending money to school-Whenever you send money to school with your child, please send it in an envelope pinned to their shirt so we can see it, with the following: Mrs. Lebron’s class, what the money is for & how much is enclosed.
** Notes that are sent in backpacks may not be seen!**
The first few weeks of school will be full of learning about school, its surroundings, and classroom rules and procedures. We will learn about each other and also ourselves. The beginning of kindergarten is mainly a time for your child to adjust to school. It will be beneficial for your child to get to bed early each night and eat healthy in order to get used to the change in routine. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the previous topics or any other concerns that you may have.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with questions!
